The Port of Royal Slope was established in 1958 as the 2nd Port District in Grant
County where there are currently 10 Ports. Quincy was the 1st Port District to
be formed in Grant County and Moses Lake was the 10th. Some Washington Port Districts
are County wide. We are a dry land port with our main focus being on economic
development.
The Royal Port District boundaries are from the Columbia River on the west
side to the Adams County line on the east side and from Frenchman Hills Road
on the
north side to the Saddle Mountains on the south side, encompassing an area
of approximately 400 square miles.
The town of Royal City has a population of approximately 1,800 residents; however,
the Port District’s population is approximately 5,603.
